What began with our passion for koi and years of experience at Koi & Vijverbouw has grown into Koi Auction Europe. With years of experience, a sharp eye for quality and carefully chosen breeders, we now bring our koi selection together on our own online auction platform.
Our story
At Koi & Vijverbouw in Wintelre we work with koi and ponds every day. Over the years we have built up a great deal of experience in selecting koi, along with contacts at carefully chosen breeders in Japan and Indonesia.
With Koi Auction Europe we want to make our selection accessible in a new way. Not only for enthusiasts who visit us in Wintelre, but also for koi lovers in the Netherlands and beyond. On the platform you can browse the selection at your leisure, discover more about every koi and bid with ease.
At the auction, too, our own way of working remains central. We select the koi ourselves and after import they spend at least 4 weeks in our own quarantine. There we keep a close eye on them and test for KHV and CEV before they are offered through Koi Auction Europe.
Hand-picked koi from carefully chosen breeders in Japan and Indonesia. If a breeder certificate is available, it is of course included.

How we work
From careful selection and quarantine to the auction and transport. This is how we work, in four steps.
- Careful selection
We carefully choose our breeders in Japan and Indonesia and select the koi ourselves on quality, appearance and potential.
- Quarantine & checks
After import, every koi spends at least 4 weeks in our own quarantine. During this period we keep a close eye on our koi and test for KHV and CEV.
- Online auction
Bid online with ease. A bid in the closing phase automatically extends the auction, so everyone can keep bidding fairly.
- Transport or pickup
Collect your koi in Wintelre or choose transport. Your koi is carefully packed and safely prepared for the journey.
